11-44-106. Issuance of subpoenas. (1) The commissioner may: (a) Issue subpoenas and require attendance of any officer, director, agent, salesperson, collector, or employee of any association and any other witnesses that the commissioner may deem necessary in relation to the association's affairs, transactions, and conditions; (b) Require witnesses to answer questions that the commissioner may put to them; and (c) Require witnesses to produce books, papers, or documents in their possession. (2) Upon application of the commissioner, any person served with a subpoena issued by the commissioner may be required, by order of the district court of the county where the association has its principal office, to: (a) Appear and answer questions that the commissioner may put to the person; and (b) Produce books, papers, or documents in the person's possession that the commissioner may require.
